production schedule

technical aspects

The film is going to be black and white, hand-drawn animation. We have chosen this medium because we want to build a dark atmosphere using simple shades of black and to emphasize the main character by keeping her plain and colorless.
With Photoshop we are going to edit every frame: color correction and layers division.
We are going to use After Effects to move the background layers and to edit the scenes.
For what concern the final video and sound editing we are going to use Final Cut.

We decided to delete the middle scene for this one to give a continual flow.

background research

here are some few images that we could use to help us get an idea for the background layout: the whole isolation of the rock in the middle. we could create our own adaptation of this. It would suit the flying scene. We would have the cage on the centre of this rock and the clouds around it.

 

 

We studied also Dalì's paintings as sourde of inspiration for the layout of the background
